The female protagonist is an unusual one in the world of male dominated traditions. She makes decisions which might be acceptable for men but not quite to men (and women!).I do have some complaints based on my expectations of published authors, whom I hold to a higher standard: an above average understanding of and grip on the english language, including punctuation. It's bad enough that people around me mix up "I" an "me" (e.g. "what's happening to you and I". If it's only happening to "me", when you are not there, why does it happen to "I" when "you" are there in the same sentence? If the author doesn't differentiate, then at least the editor should pick up on those grammar nuisances as well as other mistakes. .The Regulator Biker Series consists of 11 books: a prequel, followed by books 1-10. It bothered me that I read book 1 as the first book, and only after book 10 had to backtrack to the prequel. That was not 100% clear in book 1. Warning: Start with the Prequel!!However, the author does provide a lot in each book although I wish the endings would be less like cliffhangers.The author knows how to keep up the pace and tensions of expected and unexpected plots, which may sometimes lead to overload.Warning: you will probably want to also get the next book, and the next and the next . . . . Too bad there was not an omnibus or "complete series" offer.
